OK, back to the topic of cooking, we're having crock pot chili and cornbread at work today.

Astro, with all your recipes and talk of cooking, I've seriously been inspired to try out some new dishes - and I haven't cooked much in a few years.
BUT - I am planning on making that pumpkin soup this weekend. Daughter thinks it sounds gross but I don't care - I'm making it! Me and the canines can eat it!

All this talk of soup is making me hungry...here's one i make when there are kids around..it's kid friendly and simple!

TACO SOUP
1 lb. ground beef
1 chopped onion
2 (16 oz) cans roasted garlic diced tomatoes
1 (16 oz) can pinto beans, undrained
1 (16 oz) can kidney beans, undrained
1 (16 oz) can fiesta or whole kernel corn, drained
1 (4 oz) can green chilies (hot or mild, depending on how hot you like it!)
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1 envelope original ranch salad dressing mix
Salt, pepper, onion, garlic powder to taste
Brown ground beef with chopped onion, and drain. Add with all the other ingredients and simmer on stove for 35-45 minutes or cook in crock pot for 3-4 hours.
Serve with
Tortilla chips, cornbread, sour cream, grated Cheddar cheese, fresh avocado or avocado dip, sliced black olives, salsa….etc!

Yeah I think that may have to do with my "Cranky Pants" as I was just called by someone at work!

Friday is the day I go to a noon meeting that I went to every day when I sobered up. then I go to my 5pm meeting. then I sometimes stay for a speaker meeting. So I don't have alot I HAVE to do. I love Fridays
