Hello everybody.
Its been a while sinse i last posted its funny when we start feeling better we kind of leave this site for a while, but i'm back and still hanging in there.Going to be comming on 3yrs on new yrs day.I jest thought i would say it has been tuff at times staying sober but it has sure been worth it.Going to meetings and sharing are diffaculties has helped and comming on to this site is great. So thank you to all my old friends on here and all the new ones i'm meeting daily..
3 yrs sober isnt anything to sneeze at.....
that's a number of one days at a time
collected to get you were u r today.
Hi my name is Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.
By the Grace of my HP and people like you
here in SR I havent found it necessary to
to take a drink of alcohol since 8-11-90.
For that and you I am truely grateful.
I too have been distracted by everyday life
situations and strayed away from sharing
my ESH like i used to on a daily bases here
in SR.
However, I havnt stopped working my
program like im suppose to,,,,Meetings
are still important and ever reminding
myself first things first in recovery.
Sure, all those distrctions can be
bothersome, but for me i cant make
them my top priority.
See.....without recover, without sobriety,
without support, without faith....I have
nothing....no life....no joy, peace, serenity....
Waking up each morning and going back
to the basics of our program....following
the first 3 steps right off the bat....then
asking in prayer to PLEASE help me stay
sober one more day and kindly saying
THANK YOU at night to my HP for keeping
me sober that day....
Asking for guidance and help as i continue
to place principles before personality and help
the next person in recovery achieve soberiety
by sharing my own ESH with them.
A simple yet effective solution to our alcoholic
problem.
Never lose sight of what more important in
ur life as we continue to trudge this happy
road of recovery one day at a time.
Thanks for letting me share.
