Look its natural to worry all parents do and even if she was going to a college in a place with zero crime you would still worry because shes your lil girl always and you love her
Best thing is to talk to her whenever you can .........and relax

Well if thats all it's going to take for someone to drink, then I guess they have not hit their bottom & are not finished.

Or they are not working an appropriate program.

I sympathize with the bar wanting to drum up business, "things are tough all over". All we were really looking for was that they hand the fliers out a block or two over out of "consideration".
To be honest, I don't think it would have become such a big deal but when the couple of guys went down to talk to them, the owner was incredibly rude to them (according to them, wasn't there). Now it's blown up into this whole thing.

On further thinking I think you've all got it right, just ignore it, temptation is everywhere. But it's a little dismaying to see some of the group members obsessing on it like they're taking up a "cause". I suggested that maybe it wasn't worth all the trouble, but basically got shouted down.

MY main temptation is the concept of anything "free", it gets me all excited! But, as my signature line says...

and further, the 10th tradition of AA states:

"Alcoholics Anonymous has no opinion on outside issues; hence the A.A. name ought never be drawn into public controversy".
