The Shoe Store
Well, it goes without saying here at SR that this codie is loving her bunny slippers.
They represent allowing myself to get comfortable in life and stop worrying about every minute of every day. I first wore them at a chat meeting here, and they represented that I could just let my hair down and be myself. I still treasure these bunny slippers of recovery.
Not to mention the "steel toed bunny slippers" that I am known for on the Anon boards...they are used to kick butt when needed....it's all about "control" ya know?
Here, Mr. Zip, a pair just for you!!! (Sorry about the pink, lol)

Great post RZ! Touched me because isn't it such a perfect illustration of how the most innocent of activities can trigger the thoughts......... Love the bunnies, Ann! I'm a confessed shoe-a-holic too.......I admit it. I have hiking boots for hiking, tevas for the park or camping, sneakers for the gym, cute flats for work, a zillion pair of heels when I'm in that mood......flip flops galore (which is what I prefer, that or barefooted mostly). I don't really NEED all these shoes! Sigh, yep, I'm wondering if I need maybe the "24 steps" or "48 steps" for my shoe addiction!! (I know, I'm a cornball).............
I go barefoot all the time. My friends think I am some sort of hippie (which I am) and that I ought to move to some island country or another. I think I can walk the best without shoes so that's what I do. Plus I always feel more connected with the earth and my roots

Barefoot for me too.
This thread really made me think about how much I associate the shoes I wear with the drinking or drugs I do. I just look at my addidas tennis sneaks and I can taste coke. Its weird. I should probably throw them away, but I cant.
