A couple extra prayers/thoughts
Hi guys,
I am asking for a few extra thoughts/prayers today. I travel for work frequently, and those would be the times generally that I could drink lots by myself, in my hotel room. Well today is the first time in a while that I'll be traveling alone.
I'm not totally flipped out or anything, just slightly nervous I guess? I have 18 days and I don't want to screw up!! I have a plan of things to do to keep me distracted, etc. Unfortunately I won't have access to SR, but I'll be back home on Thurs.
I'm a huge believer in the power of positive thoughts, so any that you can send me I will REALLY appreciate!

Okay guys, I'm back. First of all THANK YOU for all the kind words & thoughts! I will (and do) return the favor! And IT WORKED, because I did it! *****!
I did have a tense moment where I had to go to Long's to pick up some more waters to keep in the car, and they were in the alcohol aisle
, but I just tried not to look at the bottles & made a B-line straight for the water, grabbed them and got the hell outta there! Whew. I feel so freaking good today! I sometimes have really bad social anxiety & don't really like doing stuff by myself (which I hate! It's a sucky feeling, and I know it's irrational), but I find that it is getting way better with being sober..............I even went to the fitness center at the hotel last night & got on the treadmill for 1/2 hour--by myself----and not only was it no big deal, but I felt so glad that I did something good for me.
I also woke up without a hangover and got some really good work done today. Day 19 rocks!

that ... used to be me.
for the first several months, if I had to buy water (at our Wal mart booze and water are on the same aisle) I had someone from the fellowship go with me. It was like holding our breath nd running into the deep end ...
Today, eleven months later ... I don't even think about it.
It works ... when we work it.
I'm glad - dropped by to see if there was an update.
