ive failed
Lovey,
You will never fail unless you stop trying.
"If you define yourself by what you've done in the past, the definition will never change." "Let what you do now and in the future define who you are and the definition will change dramatically."
lovecat, you sounded so good a little while ago!! What happened?? Its only a slip........come back!!
You cracked me up with your paper cup comment earlier, you seemed so happy.
You can do this!!!

Lovecat, I am new at this also
I read back on your posts, VERY similar to mine, I have "failed" many times, but I keep coming back and getting support and trying some meetings, and reading, and each relapse gets fewer and further between, I love the day to day thing, it gets me through
I actually hosted a party this weekend(a drinking party) and I drank coffee
But as the night went on , I kept thinking, minute by minute, minutes turn into hours, then days
keep trying!!!! failure does not mean you have failed, it means to start your next day new and sober, trying once again!!!

There are no failures here, only real people with a common problem. We all need to lean on each other to make it through the day/hour/minute...never quit, quitting.....Bug Cyber Hugs are on their way to you...can you feel um?

Lovecat alcohol may have won this battle, but you can win the war, every single day sober is a victory over the beast, I know it sounds stupid, but just do not drink today and you have won the battle.
Hi Lovecat
I have been sober a month but halfway through I slipped and drank for 2 days, that's all it was-a slip.
It would have been possible to think I had failed at the time but that would have made so depressed I might have carried on drinking.
Do you see what I mean?
