Kevin, if you do not feel comfortable enough to share your fourth with your sponsor, for whatever reason, you can go to any clergyman, any sect or denomination. They are literally bound by their vows to not reveal anything.
Hope that helps.
Love and hugs,

Love and hugs,
I found it difficult to share everything all at once....so I took baby steps. I also shared with more than one person...a little here, a little there, eventually it all came out. Sometimes we need to take baby steps before we can jump!!! Now people try to get me to stop talking...

Congratulations on finishing the fourth - there's people 'I know of' who've been 'doing' theirs for over four years!
You're a champ finishing ... just a moment to take a breath - and then it's gonna work just like it's been working - 'if you work it' ... LOL
love, barb
oh yeah -
*cuddle*
heh.

nocellphone... good point... if you cannot admit it to yourself... and to God... then it would be hard to admit it to someone else...
I know once I really admitted I am an alcoholic... I didn't feel so weird telling people... or going to an AA meeting...

Hmm.. . I don't know that I was "ready" to do it when I did. I panic attacked for hours before I did it. (Drama queen.. haha). But I walked through the fear... there was nothing comfortable about it for me. Until after it was over... .
I was so full of fear that day. If it were up to me, I never would have done it. (But I was willing to do ANYTHING!) My HP did for me, what I couldn't do for myself.
I didn't hear you say you were uncomfortable sharing it with your sponsor or the person you are thinking of. I only heard you say you are having trouble sharing it. Ask for help.
I'm not discounting how hard it is and how much courage it takes to do a 5th. But think about it in terms of how your thinking plays right into your self centeredness. Like anything you resent, are fearful of, or have done is really THAT important or crucial in the world. It's that very thing that will dissolve when you're done. And so many, many more benefits. It's worth the risk. The other side is nice.
I think it's completely reasonable to NOT be 100% comfortable. It's sobriety and it's a whole new way of living....

(((((Kevin))))) Pray on it, turn it over to God, and remember how similar we all are. Chances are that the person you do your 5th Step with won't be shocked by what you share. Most of us have seen or done it all, right?
Congratulations on getting that (first) Fourth Step under your belt. And don’t worry about the timing thing. Too early or too late? Bet you are right where your HP wants you to be. And don’t worry, I think the right person will show up at the right time to hear it.
That reminds me of the guy who was talking to an AA buddy and told him how he was hesitant to do his 5th Step because there was this one incident with a chicken. His friend looked at him and said, “Don’t tell me yours died too!”
I think Astro nailed it pretty well.

Thanks for your advice. I guess I am not comfy with any of the people I know to share it with including my two sponsors!! So I will do what nocellphone suggested and admit it to God and myself firts.
Thanks
Kevin
