RZ,

I was at Woodstock. Still have a ticket in fact. The photo you posted briings back great memories. At the time, I wasn't a drunk yet and didn't smoke dope. Saw the whole thing stone cold sober.

Speaking of Leslie West, Woodstock was the first time they played. I saw Mountain three times after that, every time I was wasted but loved it.

I know what they say about the worst day sober is better than the best day drunk. That wasn't the case for me. Fact is in the early stages of the disease I had a great time. Unfortunately my story ends up like the BB says.

On the bright side, it's only through the pain and agony I went through that I got a chance to get sober.

I'm still stuck in the late sixties, early seventies, when it comes to my music. Glad that's the only thing I'm stuck with from back then.

hi Little Penguin, good to have you back onboard. Stay awhile, you are amoungst friends. I find reading helps a little when feeling down. I will pray you find peace of mind.

hey Kevin, no probs, man. We all feel that way at times, it's the nature of the disease. I hope you are feeling well today.

hey guys, I'm still (emotionally) stuck in the late 70's. lol.

hope3 : John-Boy.
John-Boy: Yes honey?
hope3 : Do flowers talk?
John-Boy: I don't know hope3, why?
hope3 : I kissed a hollyhock today, I thought I heard something whisper. What do you think?
John-Boy: I think if we learnt to listen we could hear all kinds of miracles.
hope3 : Goodnight, John-Boy.
John-Boy: Goodnight.

tis a quiet bus today.

best drive on to the little house, up the road, lest my posts be misunderstood.

I have heard many miracles in AA, mostly the miracle of just being alive and in recovery.

The good news is that we get our emotions back. The bad news is the same

be happy

Ginger was a good drummer eh. I used to muck around a little in my teens b4 I really got wasted.

Saw John Mayall many times and Cream as well, seen Clapton play Solo and with many different people. He turned up at Wembley Stadium and did a couple of No's with Crosby Stills and Nash as did George Harrison.

Ginger did some great Solo's on that huge Kit of his.

any Newbies out there ..

late today catching a bus let alone a tune.

I"ve been debating with myself in my own head, the want to remain sober. Trying to push along, it's not easy sometimes AND debating with myself is insane ... I might lose the debate at some point.

must face reality by assuming the right attitude to life, one step at a time.

be happy

RZ,

I happened to see Cream at a high school in 1967. they play for 2 1/2 hours and only did five songs. extensive solos by clapton and baker.

Saw The Who right after 'My Generation" came out down at Asbury Park Convention Center. The top bill on the card wwas Herman's Hermits. Not many people left to watch Herman once The Who were done.
