Hi to all future free from addition persons

Just a note to say hi!

I decided a few days ago to quit drinking. I quess I am just tired of it all. Don't know if sobriety is going to be possible for me but I am going to give it a hell of a try. Surrounding myself with friends who are positive and the hardest part is my husband drinks. He is looking for me to fail, more reason why I will succeed. Ha! ANYTHNG to prove him wrong. Ha! Ha!

Starting to attend church also, a happy church at that, singing, band, and just the simple word. Young pastor. Makes is more interesting.

My main reason for joining this site is because I need someone to talk to about my marriage, if anyone can listen and has been through quitting and partner still drinks let me know. Thanks

God Bless to All
Pray alot thats what I am doing, and don't let anyone get you down!

Hi Sillymepam:

Glad that you are here and that you are doing good! Don't worry so much about your husband and his drinking, concentrate on you and your not drinking. I am also glad that you found a church that you enjoy, that is awesome!

Scott

Welcome!..

For me to quit and stay quit I needed to understand
WHY I was an alcoholic.

I suggest you check out..

http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...influence.html

If I was married to a drinking man
I would be exploring the Al anon program.

See if you can relate here..

Blessings..

Welcome to SR. Take the time to look around and read lots. I'm sure you'll find some folks that have gone through some of the same stuff.

Sobriety IS possible for you IF you really want it and work at it. It certainly doesn't come easy, but it's possible for anyone.
