thanks for the support ive had, my keyboard wAS knackered hence my not replying till now i have been reading tho and found it helpful speshly greentea posts there is a meeting near me 2morrow at 12 lunch im going, wish me luck(i used to be the receptionist at the place its held tho............thats gonna be hard) but us now is whats important.......who do i want 2 behave 4?.........my kids!! and they deserve so much more

i cant go.....
im to scared...i cant face going to a meeting,its at 12pm and i know i will just beat myself up all day 4 not going but i used to work there! hardly anonomus is it......i cant make sense of it but i just feel really panicky plus im going on holiday next friday 4 2weeksand its all inclusive with all meals and drinks included there is NO way i will stay sober there and why should i? i worked hard to pay for this holiday i dont wanna spend the whole time avouding everything and everyone!
maybe im just making excuses so i dont have to face the fact that im a mess i dunno...i could do with a magic wand to just sort everything out for me

sorry, but we're all out of magic wands here, jk. I hope that you can find the courage to get to a meeting somewhere some time, even if it means you admit that you're there for a meeting. You might be surprised that people won't ask or they won't go searching for clues if you give some lame answer (I've done that when I've encountered people at the church).
You might also find that your vacation is that much better sober. You will have fun AND remember it. It doesn't have to be painful. Since you missed your meeting today, why don't you just give someone a call and connect. It may help you feel better just for today.

Well, you said it yourself - you are making excuses. That's what addicts do. We will come up with a long list of reasons to keep drinking, no matter when. There will NEVER be a perfect time or easy time to stop drinking. I hope you find the strength you need.
