getting there
went off to my third AA meeting tonight and already feeling its getting easier to walk through those doors into a room full of Recovering Alkies just like me...
I shared for the first time... and felt like a weight had lifted.....i didnt even need to wait for someone to say ok stop crapping on and have another beer..... they listened and understood.......wow freeky...
I am determined to make more meetings and get filled with others stories of sobriety......it convinces me i can leave the booze behind more and more......to hear people say they havent had a drink in 20 or 30 years is mind blowing..... one day at a time.....is all it takes......dont have the first one then your assured you wont have the 5th...10th...or more.... how simple it is.
Anyway have a great weekend

Baby steps.... once we get a taste of
sobriety and begin to understand our
disease going back out will NEVER be
tha same....just listen to the ones
that do go back out...LISTEN to them...
They r the ones that go out for me.....
As one of our saying go....
"BUT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD THERE GOES I"
Dont rush urself....baby steps...
I went to meetings and I listened....
Absorbed...listened and absorbed....
I hung on to the words of the ones
before me...the "old-timers"..if they
can stay sober and clean for as long
as they have, then they must have
the answers of how it works...
They followed in the paths of those
before them and now we follow
in their footsteps....
WHAT AN AWESOME PROGRAM
we belong to to...dont u think?
