Thank you AL. If I complete a painting from one of your photos, I'll post it. In the meantime, here's one I did recently, the view from the hills above my house:

That’s absolutely stunning, tursiopes. I went in 2012, but it was a “lads” drinking holiday so was a waste. I did get to see Alcatraz though amongst other places More pics, please

Im terrible when it comes to reading so i didn't do my usual and do the new years resolution i will read more and so on (like with alcohol December 1st but it was a Tuesday) So i bought Anam Cara by john Donohue a philosopher, priest, poet but unfortunately gone from this world. It was one of those couldn't put it down books i read a lot last night and look forward to another reading session tonight.
Apart from that i was late by 2 minutes for work this morning as it poured so i left home when it eased off a bit.

Ahh, I know that view well, Tursiops. GF lived off Marin Ave. Great drawing!

Nothing better than a good book Al, especially on a rainy day, or night.

Looks like a big one. What type of bird is it, AL?

I’ve taken on some A level students and have to learn most of the stuff myself first 🤣 I’ve barely left the house since Friday! My brain’s getting lots of exercise (but will I remember this stuff in a few months, that’s the biggest problem I’ve noticed with studying as an older person), but my fitness routine has taken a back seat. I’ll go for a run later today definitely

Later than usual walk today, i had to look after my wifes self inflicted headache and illness she had this morning after going out with her friends last night. I stayed home as i just had no interest in the nights activities. Now she never goes mad and only ever has a couple of drinks followed by tea (one of those people). She still went out swimming this morning🥶 so that helped after the bacon and eggs i made her for breakfast, but its just another reminder of why I'm so happy to be sober. Thats her done now for the next 12 months or so.

It was one of those you might get any kind of weather walks this morning. I missed seeing the Atlantic ocean from my spot as most of the time passing here now are the evening when the only thing I can see is the lighthouse.

AL, I love John O'Donahue's writings ... really beautiful stuff.
advbike -- yep, that's the neighborhood! I'm glad it was recognizable.
Been absent lately as I have a new grandbaby, and I've been babysitting his older brother a lot while the parents settle in. Toddlers are exhausting, but a joyful thing!
That last photo was beautiful, AL -- I may have to try painting it this week.

Didn't get round to my walk today i was just to busy. I had to paint the kitchen 😭. Im not a fan of painting. I also gave the windows a right clean. We suffer here with mould in the north facing side of the house as it so wet, the house is insulated well and trying to air it isnt easy during autumn and winter. I don't like using to many chemicals so the vinegar gets a lot of use. Funny i had no issues with chemicals down my throat for a long time pity i didn't use the same logic🤔.
So a photo from the bedroom window 🪟 while cleaning this afternoon sun going down at 4.00pm.
