Class of January 2021 part three
Welcome Free!! Good job, fries!! Scott, I had a few slips myself. Today is day six for me. One thing has changed, when I chose to drink after some (never more than 6weeks) sober time I’d run away from the forums in full-on shame and denial. This time I stayed and admitted my fail. I took responsibility. Now, I do take responsibility in my regular life, but I wasn’t willing to do it in my SR life. I feel so adult 😊. And proud of myself. It’s made a difference to my recovery.
EDITED to say I wasn’t implying Scott wasn’t taking responsibility or wasn’t staying on SR! I should have started new paragraph

I did the same recently, Scott. Got to Day 73 then drank bottle of vodka and some beers, but came straight back here and straight back to meetings. Totally open in both about lapse. Now day 10. I like your take. We are doing it differently, honest with the struggle.
today we are playing a board game, doing chores, i got some writing done.
Listening to some Neil Young and headed for a swim soon. A pretty perfect Saturday.
I cannot think of one way that alcohol would make this day better. Only worse.
boy that feels good to realize and believe.

Here on Day 18. Doing mostly well. Yesterday had a mood crash but I know why and know what I can do better. Got some good rest and woke up in better spirits. Today I got the covid vaccine at my local health dept. I work in a health care setting so was eligible for the first wave in my state. I hope others will have access very soon. I'm glad to be sober a few weeks so my immune system is hopefully in better shape.
Keep moving forward everyone. Proud of those who came right back after a slip. I did the same earlier this month.

Google REM country feedback Neil Young he makes a great song even better.
The funny thing is that I didn’t enjoy it at all. I never felt the tingly rush I used to get. It was easy the next morning to dump out the bottle. Not sure why except I think I wanted to see what would happen. Now I know.
congrats to you and everyone staying sober today

I'm still feeling mega urges to drink.
you are giving yourself the best birthday gift.
when you get urges, is there something specific you to get through them? I am glad this mew year you are fighting for yourself.
Happy birthday—I hope you had some cake!
