I'm with everyone else @Erica375 , I'd sure love to see you stay! I'm not going to try and give you any advice, because you know what's best for you, but I can tell you that every time I thought I figured I had my quit under control and left my support forums, within a week I returned to drinking figuring I could probably handle drinking if I could handle quitting. I can remember 3 instances for sure, one at 1 month sober, one at 3 months sober, and one at 7 months sober. And after almost 6 years of being sober I'm sure if I left my support groups behind, it would happen again. I'm 100% certain that I can't do this alone. So if you do decide to leave, promise me you'll find another support mechanism, because I'm almost 100% certain you won't be able to do this alone either...

Sunday and its going to be a sober one.

Good times and bad times help us grow. As they argue in AA we need to avoid "analysis paralysis".
Heaps of analysis only broadened the alcoholic pit. I'm keeping it simple and sober.

Well said. I'm 8 years here next month and have had my ups and downs.That said I'm sure SR helped me in many ways. My best effort was round 16 months but I never got seriously drunk. I'll give myself a D without SR it would probably have been FAIL. I left on numerous occasions and have had a tendency to think I can drink sanely, whatever that is. Not so! Attempts to rationalize drinking in their lower categories is fraught with danger and quite ridiculous.
Now, at 78, I am working for an A and that means never ever drinking any amount of alcohol again. With the help of S.R. and an unwavering conviction (lacking before) I really believe I can do it.
