Good morning everyone. I hope you all got through yesterday alcohol free! This is the start of Day 3. I've been clean for the past 5 days, except for election night I had a couple light drinks. Kicked myself for those, then moved on. I plan to be alcohol free for the rest of this month and beyond. To infinity and beyond!
Here's to an AF day for all!

Made it thru Friday night
I made it thru Friday night w/o alcohol. It seemed easy, however I wasn't feeling all that great. High BP, but getting it under control.
We are going out to dinner this evening. That will be challenging. I plan on drinking club soda & lime/lemon. DH is not a big drinker, thank goodness. I will keep you all posted.

Good morning friends. This is the beginning of day 2 for me. Got 6 hrs of sleep that to my friend Ambien & Melatonin. I have to have 5 to 6 hrs of sleep r I am a veg. This is about my 3rd time to get sober this year. I drink everyday. Anywhere from 10 beers to 6 beers
& a bottle of wine then passing out. I have been gaining weight daily, seriously, about 2 lbs a day. My BP is out of control. I know that I am on a self destruct course. I decided that I want to be sober. That is the greatest gift that I could give to myself this holiday season. I have name the month of November, No-no November. No alcohol. Looking forward to chatting with all of you. Stay sober.

Well, I stayed sober! I am so proud of myself. I drank water the whole night. We had dinner at a Japaneese Steak house. Very festive. Other people had drinks and I did not. After we went to one other the friends house where all of them had drinks, not me. I was designated drink for my wonderful husband. He had several beers and I drove his wonderful hinny homes.
Good job staying sober travelbug, during your first "test."
I have this unsolicited advice for Novemberinos, when I faced my first unavoidable social occasion at a sports bar during the early stages of my recovery, I actually kept my smart phone open to SR and kept it on my lap the whole time in case I felt I was going to order a drink. Knowing that I could reach out to people here was a huge comfort and I made it through okay.

Apologies in advance for mentioning Christmas but... does anyone have any good suggestions for non-boozy flavoured creams that go well with mince pies? Christmas menus are being made and I want to make an early start on avoidance. I was leaning towards orange zest but could do with some inspiration.
