Morning all
I am awake at stupid o clock ( 4am) as I heard one of my cats making a funny noise and was worried she wasn't well, she has now come back to bed and seems fine, phew. Also woke up to having dreamt I drank again, much relief that was not the case, I'm convinced the part of my brain that wants me to drink knows I am vulnerable only in my sleep. Well f*ck you AV, excuse my French
Be, congratulations on nine months , hot on your heels in a couple of days - btw I plan to reply to your post in the other forum
Have a great day everyone! Stay safe in Florida Bilr! Sounds like you're having a great time
Love Billy x

Morning Billy, I give my brain some sympathy, it must be very confusing to it to be clean and alcohol free after so long being drowned in alcohol.

I had some weird dreams last night, me and my son kissing the ghosts of drowned sailors to release them to the after life!!!!!! The drowned folk were quite jolly about the whole thing - which was nice 😁

I thought I had some weird dreams haha, had you been eating cheese?? That always gets me. I have only just woken up, was just dreaming about my great Aunt who died in 2000, I was very close to her, so vivid almost like I got to spend time with her again

What are everyone's plans for the day?

Love Billy x

All I can say is if you don't want weird dreams, don't watch the tv series "NOS4A2".

I just watched both series and my dreams have been a bit

I had to look that up Venus...vampires is it?

I believe dreams tell us something...im
just very rarely sure of what!? 😂

They are generated by our brain so it's got to be something we've thought about or it's expressing something deep within.

I normally enjoy dreams and am often conscious I am dreaming. That's great because there are no consequences to actions and so I tend to do very reckless but fun things

I see dreams really differently.
Pictures.....images in my mind take flight.
People I love and miss are with me every night....my mum and dad are like always there.
My subconscious mind expressing the emotions and the colours.....sometimes mooshing them all up in a giant vitamiser so who knows what comes out.

Morning all. The end of November. Normally I really struggle through nov and feb due to the short days, darkness and cold. But it's gone by and now I'm looking forward to a different, dry and delightful December 😁

It was dark at 4:15 yesterday. Barely got light at all today.

Foggy old winter days.

Hi Billy - I share in your home decor improvement excitement. I painted house top to bottom during lockdown 1. It's so satisfying!!

Hope you enjoy your time off. I'm gradually immersing myself into my new world of work and it's a right barrel of laughs 🙄😁

Hi everyone. I've been checking in on the December 2020 group and there as so many people in there who are coming back round, who I've 'met' before on SR. It's uncanny, like 5 or so people who's names I recognise going back two, three years.

I wish them all well. It is easy for me to forget how long it took me to get of the merry go round, like if I started drinking now I could just give up again, no problem, when I felt like it. That completely ignores the 15 years i tried to give up. 9 months is precious I got to protect it

Agreed, I check on Dec 2020 to and see many faces who were in our March group who have dropped in and out. It made me feel quite grateful for my nine months too and also reminded me of what a roller coaster the journey of recovery can be until it's finally 'the last time'
Grateful to to our lovely small class and all the support from SR - big shout out to Dee and Suze
Love Billy x

It's pretty special when the class threads keep going huh?
You guys are awesome....and I love the wisdom on this thread.

Just by the way Be, I am with you all the way re Kevin McCauley.
I wanted to shout out from the rooftops to every alcoholic/addict on the planet....but not everyone sees it the way he does.
So I am just thrilled to share him with you.
And anyone else who has seen Pleasure Unwoven.
