So sorry to hear Uncle Marty is still in hospital and going to have fingers amputated this week, Goose. Can't begin to imagine what he and your family have gone through and is continuing to go through. Sending you all so much love and strength xx
So strange because I got a message from a friend today, with a link to the 'Insight Timer' app which I have literally just downloaded onto my phone and then I log in here to see Goose recommend the exact same app! Guess the universe really wants me to download the app! I'm listening, Universe, download complete. Looking forward to listening to a meditation once I finally finish home school...…. fractions and decimal places today..... yawn....Â
Tired today.... the vet warned me that the epilepsy medication could increase my dog's appetite.... and he wasn't joking! My dog was hungry all the time anyway but now, it's crazy. He woke me up at 5am this morning for his breakfast … and he's so smart. When my husband feeds him, the dog eats his tablets with no fuss. But I made the mistake of hiding his tablets in a little cheese and now if I try to just give him his tablets, he knocks them out of my hand and stares at the fridge, waiting for the cheese. I've been completely outwitted by a Labrador. Need to somehow push breakfast time back to at least 6am because 5am is crazy.... and naturally it means he wants dinner earlier.... I need to get control over this situation
In other news, the lovely Mags has been reading some of my writing. I've written two short stories during lockdown which I've entered into some competitions and Mags read those stories and is now reading the novel I finished last year. Having Mags read my work has given me confidence and over the weekend my sister in law read my short stories and she's now forwarded them to her book club to discuss! Feel a little nervous about the feedback but also very excited that my words are tentatively finding their way out into the world. Mags has given me the confidence to be brave. It's difficult when my writing keeps getting rejected by agents...makes me doubt myself but I know I just need to keep writing and keep trying. One day something I write will be published, I believe it. Do you hear me Universe?

Uncle Marty is still in the hospital. Although he appears to be over the virus, he is still testing positive. His swallowing is improving just a little. Seems to work better with soft food, and not so good with liquids. He's going to get some fingers amputated this week, and then the plan is to send him home. Not the best of situations. Thank you all for your prayers. I'm sure it helped get him through this.

Every morning I think about Uncle Marty and I was too afraid to ask how he is. I am so sorry he is still so ill, and gosh this will be a tough week for him. So many emotions to deal with, and so much recovering ahead. Sending more prayers and love and I hope the surgery and aftermath is as easy as possible for him. And massive hugs and love to you dear goose.
