Class of February 2020 Support Thread Pt 2
Karen, My pup isn’t reading yet either. Maybe I could teach her with all this time at home?
Another month at home. I’m not even sure what sober day I’m on at this point. I think it’s almost 60 days though. That’s exciting. My support group is going to move a few of us into the next phase step work by virtually meeting. That should be good. I’m ready to dig deeper and have something else to focus on other than Covid19.
I’m giving my kids the day off from school. They deserve it and I need it. Beautiful weather here, so I’m sure we’ll get outside. That’s all for now.

Venus, you have a squirrel? That would be fascinating. Is he friendly?
My dogs are one and three years old. Neither even know letters yet! I am kidding about this, I know they can't take up reading. I bought the book, Canine Good Citizen and the little one ripped it up. Made me suspicious.
Congrats on 60 days Jewel!
I hope all is well with you Venus.

You are hysterical Karen. s xx
Sort of....obviously not inside, but she is mine....I saved her life last year and she has been here every day since. She literally comes to the door if I don't have food out now....waiting for a knock. She walked in last week....twice.
Her name is Favvy. xxx s

She just came for a visit and I said: Do you want some bread Fav? And she responds like a dog....and then patiently waited for me to break it up and throw it out to her. Then she ate every piece....I think the birds got two bits maybe. ❤️
Still here. Over 60 days now, losing count in the midst of this pandemic. I just saw karen posted in the April thread. Looks like I’m the only Feb. poster left. I think I’ll join the year and under club.
Doing pretty well. I’m going to begin step work through my Christian recovery group. Very excited to dig deeper and gain tools.
Yesterday was like a summer day. I took the kids to a forest preserve and they waded in the freezing cold creek. They had a blast and I loved watching them. Off to go for a run, do some school, and see what the rest of the day holds.

Hi Jewel. I know this is your group but we're a small and friendly bunch in the March 2020 group. I'm on 41 days and most others on 20-35.
You would be welcome to come and join us if you want a bit of group support and chat about gardens, weight loss, cravings, family problems, coronavirus etc etc etc!

Hey there, Day 50 here! Haven’t logged on for a bit but starting to feel like I’m berating myself and the way I’ve wasted my life. First post I saw was Dee’s on the newcomer forum saying to say hello cos the world is a crazy place at the moment. So here I am!
How is everyone doing? Xxx

Gosh love....I did that for so long....berated myself for wasting my life.
And now....my life is on track. I would never have believed that could be possible. But it is. I promise you. s xx ❤️

Hi! Thanks for your text, Venus...thought I’d check in here.
73 days sober and feeling better than I have in months. Still plugging along during the shelter at home and feeling thankful For all we have. Talk of America beginning to reopen in phases, so that’s definitely encouraging.
I’m still doing my step study via zoom. It’s been a huge help to have that meeting and accountability with other women. I can’t wait to be able to meet back up in person.
My family continues to do well and my kids maintain a pretty good attitude through this, so it’s meant we’ve had a lot of quality time the last 5 weeks. Several more to go, so going to try to give thanks everyday and remember I’m not in control so I might as well sit back and learn what I can from this journey.
Have a great weekend!

Awesome to hear from you dear Jewel. And really glad things are going well.
You are kind of the poster girl for how to survive and thrive (at home) during this shelter in place. s xx ❤️

So good to hear from you, Jewel! It's great to know you are thriving. You are truly an inspiration to me. I'm back on 11 days. Sad in a way, but I'm grateful I've come back.
I'm in the one year and under group, too. It's a great group, I'd love to see you there. March 2020 would be great, too, of course. And then there's my new home class, April 2020, and there are a lot of people you probably know from former classes there. I'm just glad to know you're okay.
So sweet of Be to be looking out for you.
Hugs and have a great sober day!
