Life doesn't get challenging for me for another 10 days when I return to work. I felt I was unfairly treated this year and my drinking got a lot worse. I'm not looking forward to returning to the situation sober.

Pretty sick with flu today, headaches, nausea, I woke up this morning and it felt like I had drank a bottle of brandy last night! Brought back memories from my drinking past. Need to rest up for the next few days and let it run it's course...

I was the same Pouncer. I haven't heard #thepowerofus, don't really know what it is, but liked the name.
I found that sort of stuff repellent too. But can now see the power in fellowship. People pulling together with common goal. Support, understanding, without being a woos

I believe in a world of inclusion and cooperation between people, don't know why I recoiled at "fellowship" when it came to recovery. It's a nice word really.. It says and means a lot.

Reid, I hope you get better soon. I think you’re right about the flu feeling like a hangover (or, vice versa).
Finishing up a productive day. I took my remaining dog for a play date and a short hike. She was very happy to get out. I have been working most of the day and I going to keep working until late tonight, since I am enjoying myself.
Quiet Saturday.

Good to be enjoying yourself Pouncer. Feels good just to be hanging around here, drinking tea. The cricket's on the radio.
It's been a long time for me, and I can see now how alcohol could make it even longer. Long lazy days are good. Long hungover days not good.
