I thought the first season was incredible, but this one.....with Meryl.....just unbelievable. I (guilty secret ) keep watching the episodes over and over again. I even make my husband watch the best scenes.....just wow.
And love and hello and I must get your date. ♥

So that's two full sober days....and one not so sober day....you can do this: you are not failing love. You are identifying your triggers.....now, that one resonates very deeply with me. And I don't think we have ever really talked about it here before.
When I was trying to get sober (before I joined SR), I would get one-three days over and over and then bust. And napping was my trigger. Because I would fall asleep so deeply (I never had any decent sleep at night) and then I would wake up terrified. The way you feel when you come out of a bad nightmare. And every time this happened, my desperation to get to the bottle shop was huge. Out of control.
So I did what you are doing today...I made plans that made it impossible for me to have a nap that day, and it helped.
Once I got sober, naps became my best friend....I don't wake up afraid anymore.
We just keep putting more tools in our sobriety toolbox until it is so full that we can handle any situation without drinking. And you are doing that.
Hope you have a good day to day dear Optimist. ♥♥

“To stay present in everyday life, it helps to be deeply rooted within yourself; otherwise, the mind, which has incredible momentum, will drag you along like a wild river.” - Eckhart Tolle
