kenton honey ~ you are NOT a a bad friend at all. Completely the opposite. I am afraid your friend should not be putting you in this position...she is leaning on you way more than is ok, for either of you: she needs a counsellor. Fast. Some people don't handle pregnancy well, for all sorts of reasons. And yes, you are 100% right, the anxiety is the issue.

Only when you are panicking that badly, hearing that doesn't always help. So she became more upset.....what I would do at this point would be to tell her again that you only want to help, and literally do the hospital bag with her....help her to make a list of everything she is worrying about, and maybe create solutions with her and get her to write them down. So that next time she is panicking about one of these things, she has a way to calm down.

I pray that she gets help though, because she and the baby need it desperately I think. Imagine what will happen if she gets post'natal depression....that family needs help. No idea why her OBGYN isn't recommending a counsellor.

One more thing....I was NOT in a good mood 10 minutes ago....it is a yucky day weatherwise and I am not that well (just a sinus infection), and then I came here, and started reading.....and now there is a smile on my face and a warm glow in my heart. (that's a bit mooshy ).

You most certainly may! A bit of domesticity—cook, tidy (ha!), tend to plants, relax, bask in the warmth of good company and find a good show...yeah?
Summer has arrived in Texas so the big bad central air has created a delightful microclimate for us. I keep it around 17C in the house. It’s always fall in here. No worries, I have guest sweaters and plenty of throws so y’all come on over.

Mother moved to a rehab hospital yesterday. She is in very fragile condition so I’m worried sick but trying to take the day off. Big brother is there now watching garden shows with her I need to trust and have faith in everyone today. Chin up.

Love you—thank you! So glad you’re here since you feel down—I felt that way too but we’ll have a party and a laugh.

Thanks Suze! Busy busy day so the date slipped up on me.

I think later I need to think up a great way to celebrate the five year soberversary. It’s getting close....and so is yours if I recall. Plenty of air miles in my account, so perhaps time to use some this fall. I love sobriety.
