I dunno.
I thought differently before but I kinda feel now like A Different Path was Kathys thread.
That we continued it through her funeral was a good thing - it helped us process things and helped us share our memories of Kathy.
Now...may be a new thread, in memory of Kathy, is called for?

Either way is fine with me as far as keeping this thread permanently or starting another one.
That's one of the things that can sometimes put me in the blues. Change. Having memories of something and as time goes by it sort of vanishes and gets further and further away.
But it's inevitable. It's part of life. But it's almost like a want that special moment to last forever and ever!!!

or whatever....but a positive thread....where we honour our lovely Gilmer's spirit and hope for us all....

I like this idea. Like we have walked our dear sweet friend, Kathy home on her “Different Path”. That chapter has completed.
A new thread that celebrates things that remind us of Kathy and her legacy that lives on in our hearts because of her, sounds beautiful.

yes, this chapter is completed i think and feel.
was it Ann who posted a poem very recently about passing on the shared love?
my feeling is that this is what Kathy would have us do, if she had a say in it. take that energy and carry it to others here , newcomers, people struggling, put it outward.
just my sense of things.

I agree, ‘a different path’ is Kathy’s .
A new path, a new thread, with the Gilmerites wonderful sayings and pics, and chippy, of course. Celebrating everything which is Kathy.❤️

One of the other forums I frequent had a regular member that passed away much too young. He loved to just hang out online and kid around with the other members, so they opened a special section and called it "The (name) Memorial Bar & Grill" where other members could just kinda hang out and kid around with each other. Obviously, that particular name wouldn't be appropriate in Kathy's case, but you get the drift.

I like FBL's suggestion. I don't think the title should use "Kathy" -- many people knew her & remember her only as Gilmer -- or Gilmerite, which kind of sounds like you have to be one of a group to get in. Gilmer's Memorial Luncheonette? -- it would be different to have an SR lunch spot, and that would be more inviting than a cafe to her caffeine-free friends on SR.

This thread was hers, and could be kept in the "Best of" Forum, perhaps. To continue it may make it about us and not her. A new thread would feel more appropriate to me.
Just my thoughts.
