I am so grateful for the gift of today, day 4. I'm already noticing my recall abilities are improving

and my weight has dropped! I'm eating healthier and feeling the difference. Plus, the skiing is great exercise...

We're heading home a day early from our ski weekend

All 3 of us had equipment malfunctions, which is unfortunate, because I've really enjoyed getting to hang out with my "adult" grands. I must plan more time to spend with my oldest. The younger one lives with me so we see each other daily.

Well, I better get packing.

Jsm - my heart is breaking for you and you too Zoey. As you probably know, I post about my dog all the time. He sat beside me when my drinking got really bad during 2016 and he's sat beside me during every day of my recovery since then. He's helped me through grief, shame, anger, frustration and he's been there through all the good stuff too.... joy, hope, laughter, pride. He's my rock and his daily unconditional love has helped me become a better person... no doubt about it. Not bad for a four legged creature that can't speak a word and probably spends 98% of his time thinking about food. So I get it. I get the pain and the loss and I'm just so sorry. Please stay close and lean on us. Sending you both as much love as the universe will allow me to send from my heart to both of yours xxxx

My youngest son is coming to work with me in construction , he is now 19 we couldn’t find a tool belt or hard hat that fit him , he is a big boy I have fun spending time with him yesterday buying everything that he needs for work, that’s how sobriety works it’s miracle.

Please another 24 hrs. Of freedom from alcohol freedom from drugs.
