JSM, I'm so sorry about your dog, our fur babies definitely are there for us, and love in our hearts forever. Sending lots of love and support your way.

Got up at 5am to watch the moon turn red but the moon had disappeared. Where did it go? I've been reading so much lately about the mystical powers of the moon but I don't really know the basics. What is the moon? What's it made of? Is it as old as earth? I'm filled with so many questions but it's Monday afternoon and I'm in a course all day learning about the new accounting system at work.... yawn. There's all these new codes and procedures I need to learn and the trainer just asked if anyone has any questions. Oh yes! I have questions. Millions of questions. Where do we all come from? What happened to the dinosaurs? Was it definitely a meteorite? What's going on beyond Pluto? Is there life on any other planets in any other universes? What creatures exist in the unexplored depths of the sea? But I don't think he wants those kinds of questions so I'll keep quiet and try to look excited about tax codes. Yay! Love to everyone and 24 more for me please xxx

Suze, your post count number is beautiful.. I just Googled the meaning of multiple 4s because as enthralling as tax codes are, I'm looking for any distraction at this point. Apparently seeing multiple 4s means the energy around you is being enhanced and you are being guided. That sounds nice doesn't it? And I'd love to hear Nick's knowledge about the moon but before that.... can I be really cheeky and ask him for some help with my son's algebra homework? It's so difficult. It's crazy difficult......my son spent ages on it yesterday and finished almost all the questions, bless him. He needs to do the rest tonight and if he gets really stuck, can I post the question here and ask for Nick's mathematical wisdom? xxx

Nick is off on a business trip today for a bit, but he says YES! He will most definitely help.

(He is in a phone meeting upstairs so we are skype chatting from one floor of the house to the other....ha).

And thank you love.....that is beautiful...the 4s thing.....you are a fantastic font of fascinating facts. ♥♥♥♥

It's almost 11am EST and I'm snuggled up with a blanket enjoying my day 5 off and committing to 24 hours alcohol free.

I'm still a bit fatigued, but my diet is improving and I will get stronger.

So happy for all who are celebrating their recovery today be it 1 day or 10 years.

Hello 24’s,

I’m in a bit of an awful mood with no apparent reason. Work is probably running me down a little. It’s going to be fine. I’m safe and have time to relax today. Sometimes you need to ignore negative thoughts and emotions. It’s January, cloudy, cold—just a winter funk. I used to drink over these kinds of moods—like I had no reason to be in a bad mood so I wanted to ‘fix’ it...well, you know how that worked out! How I feel is not a reflection of reality. I think it’s part of alcoholism..believing you can’t stand fake bad moods. Ha! I totally can.

I took an extra vitamin D and will sip some tea with you. Later on I’ll be laughing. 24 more hours of sobriety please! Maybe I’ll paint my toenails. Glad to be off work...getting some rest is probably the fix. I’ve been busy all weekend; today will be a free day.

Love

Red

Red, I've just finished reading a book which was recommended to me by someone in my mindfulness group. It's a short book but has a really powerful message. I read it quickly in 2 sittings and plan to re read it slower because I think it provides powerful reasoning for why I sometimes feel how you described you are feeling today. It's called The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz xxx

JDM....It’s so hard to lose our fur babies, they are the ones with the LOYAL heart and unconditional LOVE!!!! They should be allowed a much longer time on this earth. They are FAMILY!!!

24 More is the Plan of the Day!

Working every day but no idea when we will see another paycheck? This shutdown could be a really long one, it’s already a record setter. Tightening our belts and hoping to get through it unscathed.

Not sure if I ever updated a pic of our BOXER baby girl Charlie? The breeder was mistakenly sending us pics of the wrong puppy. Here she is shortly after we got her 5 weeks ago. She is 12 weeks old now and such a SWEETHEART!
