It's the Day of Atonement in the Jewish religion today....a very high holy day that includes fasting and prayer.....it is a solemn day that was extremely important to my mum.....so I am hopping offline today out of respect for her. (Will be back at sundown, that is the end of the fast).

Good Morning! 24 more please and thank you! I am grateful today! The Sun is shining brightly, the temp is quite comfortable and I get to enjoy the day. I work at a Jewish institution, so we are closed today in observance of Yom Kippur - a very Holy day to seek forgiveness for the wrongs one has committed in the past year, to fix those that can be corrected and move forward committing to do the next good thing and helping a fellow man... sounds a lot like recovery to me - although I am not Jewish, I find this to be something that is part of my daily sober living. Identifying my resentments and wrong doings, sharing with another human, seeking my higher power for forgiveness and direction, apologizes to those I’ve hurt where possible and living each day as a better person, full of love and gratitude - so today I chose all those things just for this 24.
