Checking in for 24 more today with a clear slate for the day! I will go back to work with JOY in my heart that just for today I am sober and grateful to be! Approaching 4 month on Sunday and wow, how much has changed for the better... my resentments are far less, I’m living life for today - choosing to love, serve and do the next good and right thing because that is who I’m created to be. Yes, there will be roadblocks, they are inevitable, but my toolbox is full of useful tools, numbers, friends who completely understand me as person, and a higher power I call God directing my steps just one at a time. Sometimes, I need to be carried and that is ok as long as it is forward and not back to the misery that once enveloped me like a stormy cloud. I can live in today because that is all I am asked to do. Yesterday is in the books forever and tomorrow isn’t known to me yet. Have a great JUST TODAY folks, whether it is 1 or 1000 it is a GREAT day to breath in and be SOBER! Hugs and love to all celebrating or hurting - together we can! ❤️

I'm checking in on day 700 which also marks 1 year and 11 months for me and I like how both of that ended up on the same day.
It’s probably the last hot and sunny day this year and it never used to bother me when summer ended but this year I feel slightly emotional about it. Maybe cause my summer was spent inside most of the time.
Tonight I will actually go on a date with someone. Which also contributes to me feeling weird. I do surprisingly look forward to it but at the same time I’m worried that I will be disappointed or feel hurt. And I’m not sure what to expect but I guess that’s how it is with first dates. Eeeek!
