Hi willow - it's ok to be sad - thats a normal reaction - its how we process loss...
you will be ok - and you have all of us with you

I doubt anyone here thinks its funny Plenny - I know I lived a life like that or extrme emotions and reactions - it was no coincidence that kind of life lends itself to drinking...but I didn't drink and I changed...in time. Keep going - you are definitely on the right road.

I hope your break will recharge your energies RBJ.

Checking in for today.

I feel so down, I really want to give up on everything right now. I’ve done everything for my ex, I changed everything he wanted me to change and it was the hope for a healthy relationship with him that made me tackle all my issues and finally confront my traumas and all.

I thought he’d do the same. But he didn’t and he ended it in such a nasty and uncaring way, which left deep scars. I am still shocked at how he could treat me like this. Now he’s feeling good and I’m dealing with all the mess he left inside of me. I don’t understand why I was treated like this by someone I did everything for and trusted so much. It really makes me doubt humanity. Right now I don’t see the point in anything.

I’ll go to a meeting tonight. I’m scared people will try and make me see my part in the abuse again but I have to be around people a bit, I can’t isolate forever.

It will take time love....right now you are where you need to be ~ feeling the sadness .....my mum meant the world to me as well....God I know.....crying with you....in time the sadness will morph and become your strength.

I have lost both of my parents from this earth, but they are with me every single day....I feel the strength of their love and spirits guiding me on and giving me courage.

Just know how loved you are.....we care so much..... ♥♥

(((Kev))) somehow you need to start nurturing that hurt frightened little girl inside. He has rented too much space on your head and heart and it's you time now. One thing we alcoholics have to learn is acceptance that our relationship with alcohol is over. Doesn't matter why really but our very lives depend on it. Perhaps acceptance that this relationship went wrong (and maybe it doesn't matter why or how) is something to you need to do sweetheart? And yes of course - love and nurture your poor vulnerable self. We are here to care all day every day ❤❤❤
