long term we can only change our thinking and actions...at times and woefully short term, others'... but that doesn't mean we are always the problem...other people can be at the core of our problems...just my thoughts

We do what we need to do love....we are similar age.....and we have definitely had enough of this merry go round....that means being brutal....you first. All the way.

I was sitting on the couch after my dog walk, having some coffee and feeling sorry for myself and alone, then a local news story about a local Army vet who just received the keys to a free custom home built for him. The guy lost both legs, one arm and a few fingers on the other arm in Afghanistan, he was raising a flag with his remaining arm and his teeth from his wheel chair. I think I better get off the couch and keep my problems which I caused myself in perspective. I needed that shoved in my face this morning.

Awake- thinking of you and understanding where you are at on this journey. Pushing people out of your life so that you can keep living is so difficult. Maybe you do not have to torch that bridge between you but just raise the drawbridge for a bit?

Another 24 for me please. Wish me luck as I'm off too my 1st event where alcohol will be prevalent, I'm 2 days shy of a year so I'm not even thinking about it. Just going to enjoy myself and have fun, plus I have a sober friend as my partner.
