24Hour Recovery Connections Part 353
Posted the following in a few other threads. Since then went for another hour's ride...I thought I would be stuffed and sleep- so no. I was going to buy Game of Thrones season 7, 'cos I deserved it. But no. Went to library- it was there- cool I thought! I checked it, not blueray all good. So then I went to a garden centre and bought 2 mature Roesmary bushes- becasue every time I move- I plant it, sign of good luck. At least I smell nice.
Well folks..I done good. I did the 40k return bike trip to see my GP. Paperwork for getting license back done..BP textbook perfect, eyesight good, lungs good. I mentioned a contact with the senior physio of the burns unit about my misplaced shoulders. He checked- my GOOD shoulder has 2 'floating bones' , meaning they have not healed. Funny how all the docs and physio's I have seen over the last 2.5 years never picked it up. Probably a very bad fall when living in the sh.thole, post hopsital where I was encouraged to drink, and I did..to be shamed and extorted for $$$, so xray is next. Also the rash that comes and goes where the burns scarring meets normal skin..a medicated cream.
BIKE RIDE: I left 0700, took an hour (10 mins faster getting home) and I noticed a few things. Getting proper bike lights and a reflective back pack and wearing a bright red t-shirt was good, because it gives stupid people a clear target to hit. 3 near misses. When I git a car- the bike will be used only on bike tracks. Probability dictates it is only a matter of time when stupid people get their act together and hit me.
All muscles coped well- but my bum hurts.
I went straight to the local news-a't and got the forms photocopied, and posted it straight away.
I have decided that I do not like how my family ignore my requests for info, the bed they promised me and so on. Yes I did damage...but I do not now, and they know this but choose to see the memories as more enticing than solutions.
Sigh...many people have been telling me this for months, but I give tolerance..but I nearly lost my tenancy – in part be-c of info I could not supply on the fam. home-
cos they do not answer my requests. Not angry, just made a decision.
Be kind to yourself peeps...
Support to all.

I don't like how your family treats you,,either. It really stinks.
Even so, just keep doing the next right thing; 'the next right thing' is the way you flow now.
Sending you a bunch of love and hugs.

10:18 pm in California and checking in for another 24. It has been a busy week here. My daughter's newest show opened, so lots of late nights, and track season has officially begun, the first invitational is next weekend.
Tonight I went to dinner with two friends I haven't had the chance to catch up with in a while, and it was nice to sit and laugh, and also eat a little too much. I am going to meet another friend of walk tomorrow morning, so I will hopefully counteract some of the calories.
Congrats to all celebrating a milestone today. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

PJ, I still hope your family will come around someday. Until then continue to be proud of the amazing transformation you have made. Also, remember friends can be just as much family.
Sending big hugs your way.
