Juliet, 6 weeks is nothing less than awesome! Keep on keeping on! 24 more clean and sober hours please. Great job milestoners! Thank you all for being here today and have a great day!

Just been at the dentist to get a filling in my tooth. As the dentist was finishing she told me to avoid eating anything crunchy for the next few hours. Then she said, 'no cava'. I proceeded to tell her that there was no chance of me drinking any cava because I don't drink wine anymore or any alcohol for that matter. I told her I feel so much better for it and that I wished I'd discovered the joys of sobriety years ago.
She said that she was very happy for me but she hadn't actually been talking to me and wasn't referring to wine. She had actually been talking to the dental nurse to inform her that there was no carver on the dentist tray. I then learnt that a carver is in fact a tool used by dentists to shape fillings. So I learnt a bit about dental instruments this morning and the dentist learnt a little about my sobriety journey. Whether she wanted to or not
Congratulations to everyone celebrating a milestone today. 24 more for me please xxx

Good morning,
Off work today—going to help my parents. I am happy to do what needs to be done. If I was drinking I would be stressed about calling off work. There would probably have been a few hangovers that chewed up my sick leave. Now I can use it to care for my family and me—like, for real. Not some self-inflicted sickness. I felt a little guilty but I always do. Not anymore. Loved ones first. I will find a way to make it a good day for all of us.
Have sober friends heading this way Saturday! I am so excited. I’ve been laying very low for awhile and am ready to get out. These people are just the thing. I finally am ok with having fewer friends. I just don’t feel comfortable around alcohol and it’s the main entertainment here. There are other things to do with sober people hanging out. I feel happy as things shift.
Have a wonderful day. I like it already and it’s still dark.
