I’m winkin’ and blinkin’ myself, so my shoe has left the dock obviously.
I did not drink today, but I did win $80 at the blackjack table and I had a real ice cream milkshake. If that is wrong, I don’t wanna be right.

My unit will be an exta week delayed from whenever the hell they thought because of stuff. Not me- paperwork and OHS.
Sad friend returned to my meeting today. She checked herself out of a very good- in her case pretty much end of the road for being offered help rehab. I said to her I can listen, walk and have coffee- but I cannot do the advice stuff...she needs very serious 'stuff'. Sad.
I almost felt happy today. I do not know if I can ever 'forgive' how I was 2 years ago- but I accept it and understand it enough not to judge anymore. It is done.
Temp going to be back to in the 40'S C by friday- public holiday here- Aust. day. TV ads ramping up about the Aussie spirit, BBQ's, backyard cricket, lamb and of course beer. Lots of beer. There are going to be some very unwell people- given the heat.

That's sweet of you to be there for your friend, PJ ~ Hope it's not too much longer before we can begin the countdown to moving day 
This book I have, Art and Soul, is cool because each chapter is just a couple pages long.....(my kind of attention span, Lol) but it's art inspiring with different project assignments in each chapter. The current one is to start a dream journal....this could be interesting.....

Sipping startin’ fluid and contemplating the day. I have a pretty big meeting this afternoon that I am hosting and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed. So glad to be sober and clear headed though.
PJ - “I almost felt happy today” - that’s the magic right there. You deserve to be happy my friend. You have worked hard and been pretty relentless in your pursuit of peace. It’s about darn time you felt almost happy. ❤️
Purplrks - love the idea of a dream journal. Mine would be pretty boring though as I rarely remember mine.

As you can see Grumpy-pants Suze has left the building.
And next time I accidentally do anything as stupid as dislocating my own jaw and getting a bad infection.....I will go to bed. Like a normal human. Living by myself for 25 years made me very used to doing and having to do no matter how sick or sore....life goes on you know?
But I am actually married now....it is OK to let someone help me.
I am NOT a failure if I don't get 5 thousand things accomplished every day. Somehow or other, since getting sober, I fell into the pattern of pushing myself.....the yes I can attitude, no matter what.....awesome up to a point. Then I put myself in danger....and I am not actually in recovery mode at all while living this way.
I have to take care of myself in order to take care of anything else and anyone else in my life. Completely obvious I know. Just something that this little black duck could not get her head around.
Sorry, this turned into a major diatribe.

Slowly waking up here. I had to take a Benadryl for some allergy issues at bedtime last night--wind had been blowing like 25-30 MPH for much of the day so I guess it blew something in. Anyways, great sleep but definitely a little more groggy than usual today. Which is saying a lot because I'm usually groggy.
Work this morning/afternoon. Yuck. Gonna try and make it a short shift but I'm usually not able to do that on Monday.
Sure would love to hear from some of our missing members this week. If you're lurking and reading, hope you'll decide to check in. We're stronger together. No judgement here.

Good morning awesome people. I guess in Samspeak today is my Thursday!! Happy dance here. 2 days and we leave for our trip.
Sorry I don't post much on the weekends. When I am home - I am trying hard to be more present and less plugged in. Always here in spirit though.
