I have a ton of new hobbies without really having left the house a great deal....drawing, photography, Nick and I are making jewellery, I have joined the local German Village Society where I live and am about to start working for them in media etc as a volunteer, I have 10 000 books to read, I write, I need to walk about 1000 miles to get fit again so I have awesome new shoes....hmm....let's see....learning to cook....learning how to look after the 200 odd plants I bought....growing herbs for the first time....

Hey madtown? Glad you made it another day sober! My go to move when I had urges was going to a mtg or calling sponsor but mainly the former. All I was able to do was mtgs & work; between six & twelve mths the obsession or urges were gone. Hope that helps

I'm in MN and have found so many hobbies, it's a way to keep my hands busy which keep my mind busy. I hope you can find something to do, there is a lot!!!

Hello Dear Ones,

Had a busy day today. Pt, a meeting, a visit and a little shopping. Down to one crutch. Time to put the legs up. Ice! Ortho appt tomorrow.

Welcome Madtown! Keep your eyes open. You'll find a million things that may interest you sober. When I drank all I did was talk about doing them.

Time to call it a day then.

Hope you're ok Leigh. Hi Suze, It was good catching up guys.

Sweet sober dreams Everyone.

Hi all

Half-sick. Have a sore throat, chills, a bit weak and tired but I almost feel like I’m faking it. Ya know? Went to work and got very little done. Going to give my immune system a chance to work this evening .

24 for Red please.xx

Yeah but you're not faking it, it's a virus honey....I think we (read me) are so used to being hungover and getting through somehow that when we are really sick it is hard to judge exactly....I said to Nick when he came home from work sick on Monday - after I tucked him up in our bed with a tray and snacks....I bet you don't feel that bad now....and he didn't, until he tried to stand up.

My point is that I actually feel better with the flu than I ever did when I was withdrawing, so I ALWAYS feel guilty when I take any time off because I'm sick.

Ahhh.....hopefully there is a scintilla of sense somewhere in there.

Of course there is. Makes sense to me. I’m not nearly as sick as I used to be, almost every day. It’s still a bug and I am going straight to bed. Wait, I’m already here. Thank you Suze. Hope Goat gets to feeling better very soon. Good reading about your new hobbies.
