Nick and I got that lesson loud and clear when things got on top of us a few months back.
The thing about the steps, and a sponsor (if you like) is that you have someone to talk to about everything that is/has been holding you up, and you find new ways to walk through these issues.
The spiritual part can come a little later if you like....it's part of the feeling you get from working through all of this stuff. It is a feeling of enlightenment and peace, and it grows. It does for me anyway.

Praying for 24 hours of sobriety and patience today as they (who shall remain nameless) attempt the 4th try at delivering my refrigerator. I can't get it hooked up until August 30th (not happy at all) but at least, it will be in my house....hopefully.
