24 Hour Recovery Connection Part 267
Hi,
I'm inside eating cherries 🍒 and binge watching OITNB! My guys just went to the movies to see "Spider-Man". Yep, just a kick back & try to stay cool Saturday. And pausing Netflix to check in for the next 24.

Hello Everyone Here/There. It's 5:34pm and I'm thinking I'm having some hours of sober. No emotional highs or lows, thinking rationally about situations. I can do this.
Congratulations to all the runners today. Some great distances run.
Special love to Leigh and Kris (((hugs)))
And special healing to Erfra's foot !!!
And come back Neo. You make me happy

Glad you came right back today! My husband still drinks at night, when I first started I avoided being near him when he was drinking. I went upstairs and read, went for a walk, or played a game with the kids. I now have 18 months sober and his drinking doesn't trigger me, although it does at times annoy me.
You can do this. Sending lots of love and support today.

Hi Kris,
She is still in the nursing home, she's working with PT a lot to get h strength up. The pills they started her on to increase her platelets seem to be working, so that is good. She is anxious to get back home, but not quite ready yet.
Thank you for thinking about her when you have so much on your plate. I am continuing to pray for you out and your husband.
Sending lots of love my friend.

Getting out of yourself helps. Thanks for your prayers.
I just want to praise our lovelies, Kris and Leigh!
They are so welcoming and supportive even though they are dealing with issues themselves.
You two are so important to me, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you both. I'm not the most frequent poster, but I'm a heck of a reader and I see the heartfelt attention you both give us everyday....and I want you to know how much it means. It does not go unnoticed...

AN EVER-GROWING FREEDOM
The Seventh Step is where we make the change in our attitude which permits us, with humility as our guide, to move out from ourselves toward others and toward God.
— TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, p. 76
When I finally asked God to remove those things blocking me from Him and the sunlight of the Spirit, I embarked on a journey more glorious than I ever imagined. I experienced a freedom from those characteristics that had me wrapped up in myself. Because of this humbling Step, I feel clean.
I am especially aware of this Step because I'm now able to be useful to God and to my fellows. I know that He has granted me strength to do His bidding and has prepared me for anyone, and anything, that comes my way today. I am truly in His hands, and I give thanks for the joy that I can be useful today.
Seventh Step Prayer
"My Creator, I am now willing that you should have all of me,
good & bad. I pray that you now remove from me every single defect of character which stands in the way of my usefulness to you & my fellows. Grant me strength, as I go out from here to do your bidding."
