So sad to say, my little dog Jack actually died Sunday morning. I'm devastated .
My pets are so dear to me. I spent all Saturday night with him wrapped n a quilt on my bed.

I knew he was dying. I was just kissing his little face all night and telling him it was ok to go. He knew it too.

I rang a mobile vet to come out but none would come on a Sunday morning.
So we took him to a 24 hour vet. I don't like doing that, I prefer it done in their own home so they don't stress.

Was not a good scrabble day Sunday , no surprises there. I almost didn't go, but Angie told me I have to, otherwise I will just cry all day and maybe drink.

She was right of course. Can't say it was a good day.

I don't know what the **** is going on this year!

Hoping everyone is well. Sorry I have nothing nice to report .

Xxx

You are stronger than you realize, Snooz--and there is safety in numbers.

Please post here before you drink. Even if Western Hemisphere people are asleep, you can imagine what we'll all say--and you can play the tape all the way through to the ultimate shame and recrimination you'll experience if you drink.

Quitting for good is not a matter of going from crisis to crisis and squeaking by--the option needs to be totally out of the question as a possibility.

The numbing lasts for a couple hours, but the slavery goes on--until you remove the possibility entirely from the table.

Nothing will ever justify drinking--EVER. NOTHING.

I'm so sorry Wendy.
Our pets are our family.
I still miss my Leah. I take solace in knowing that she as well as your little dog Jack lived in loving homes during their lives. Hoping to get a new furry friend soon, I need that companionship.

We're getting wind and snow.pretty much a blizzard now.
There's about 4 inches of snow and going to snow most of the day.
They sent us home from work at 10 am.
I almost stayed home anyways, but got 3 hrs. work. My truck is a 4x4 so no issues driving.

The wind is blowing now and it's blizzard conditions outside.
There's over 10K without power now.
Looks like we could get a foot or more.

Hi guys!

We've got a blizzard of snow and sleet here. Looks like our area is getting the worst of it. Going to be stuck here for a couple of days, I think. Just hoping we don't lose power. Bob, did you use to like to drink during snowstorms? Trying to figure out why it is such a trigger. Thankfully, there is no alcohol in the house and couldn't get out even if I wanted to. Liquor stores are probably closed too. Not even getting mail delivery today.

Will be around here all day. Hope everyone is doing well.

Yup, I used to get plastered during snow storms. And that's kind of dangerous even when staying home. Have to be aware of what's going on in case some quick action needs to be taken.

Snooz, I'm very sorry.

My little stiff-upper-lip motivational speech was horribly timed. You are grieving a dog you loved, and I'm afraid my bluntness might had the effect of kicking you when you were down.

Please forgive me.

Snoozy love ~ I am so very sorry. I wish there were more words to help take your pain away.

I have tried to catch up just now, but I am in a big mess here....so I am just sending love to all of you. You all mean a great deal to me.

I'm sorry, Suze.

Give it all time. Things will level out. Don't expect more of yourself than is reasonable--you're only human.

Try to rest.

I don't think you were blunt or harsh Gilmer

I hope to hear from you soon Snooz

Suze - do you think maybe its better for you to share what's going on rather than keeping silent and trying to deal with it all yourself?

There;'s no requirement for you to be Superwoman

I always preferred Wonderwoman....
She had that great belt.

And yes, I should share. Will share in fact.
I have been hesitant to do so.

Tomorrow.....really late here, and we have a big day tomorrow.
