Just a quick Thank You to all of you for the WELL wishes, prayers, thoughts and kindness for my hubby and also myself. I believe in the power of prayer.
He's holding his own but still in quite a bit of pain that comes and goes. Hoping for a good and quiet evening.

My right hand isn't working lately, so I can't type fast but I really need to say I am enjoying the weekend. It just means so much to name it, share it...let it be recorded in my head somewhere. I've had some fleeting thoughts of drinking that I want to counteract.
Started back on the trails along the river about ten days ago--I used to walk/ hike daily before I went back out. Also started weight training again.So good to be back into exercising, though I feel sluggish and sore. It's a good sluggish.

Wonderful that you are back hiking again. I had my knee done last September in hopes of getting back into to some serious hiking. Healthy pastime.

Well done to the milestoners for today, may you all enjoy the peace and serenity of being sober ! Cherish the moment !
I didnt go to my regular AA meetings for a few weeks as I've been busy. However, there seems to be a time and place for everything ! I finally went this week and at that meeting, 2 folks shared about relapsing after several years of sobriety, how the relapse was as if they had never stopped. Such a timely reminder to me that sobriety isn't something to be taken for granted. You have to work it all the time.
Another 24 hours of gratitude, serenity and sobriety pls ! Its 10:50am here !

We've always got to be aware and hold ourselves accountable. As you mention, we have to be vigilant when it comes to this Dis-Ease.
