Hey y'all,

2 weeks today . I made a spiral notebook into my "recovery book" and have a list of things to check off each day. So far so good ...

Hope everyone's having a great week!

Congratulations izzy on 2 weeks.

It's nice that you got to enjoy the sunrise Mariah.

Things have been a little rough here but, I'm plowing through.

Have a great day everyone.

Great work Izzy, 2 weeks behind you already!

Glad you could spend some quality time with the grandsons Mariah. These will be happy memories for them one day.

My wrist is much better, thank you. I feel a bit like a fraud now, but it really was painful yesterday, honest!

I've had some fun this evening brewing up some homemade laundry powder, and a disinfecting bathroom spray. There's the faint smell of vinegar, well quite strong actually, a bit like a chip shop, but that's cutting edge chemistry for you. It's probably not what most people would call an exciting activity, but for some bizarre reason I seem to find it quite satisfying. I might even have found my life's purpose at last. Happy days.

Hope things calm down for you UP.

Have a great evening all.

Way to go Izzy

Hang in there Up....life is sure a bumpy ride.

You might have something there with the homemade cleaners Freein....maybe a little business in that these days??? Let us know how they work

Went to AA book study today & was kind of put on the spot to do a service position on Mondays by my sponsor but suppose it won't kill me.

Glorious day here.....I am sitting down at a little park by the river, killing time till Son gets out of school. There is not a soul here.....birds singing , sound of Rapids, doesn't get much better than this.

Free, have you tried lemon juice with olive oil for furniture polish? I've used that before and like it for the big dining room table.

You'll have to let us know how the service project goes Mariah. Our group is doing a big party this summer and asking for volunteers. I think I'm going to do the sponsor thing.

I saw a blog recently where the writer said she is doing it all: a forum, support group, writing a blog and something else. Something about that really struck me. I've been trying to do this with as little help as possible. But for the sake of my life and my family, why wouldn't I do whatever it takes? That sounds a lot more humble and like the person I want to be than the prideful, stubborn, stuck one I've been.

Just enjoyed my sleepy time tea! With a little honey and milk. Mmmmmm

I feel the same Izzy, I am willing to step outside my comfort zone as much as I've tried to avoid it. Has been a long day.....ill join you with a cup of tension tamer tea.
I was in a fairly good mood today but something set me off this afternoon & I went from zero to pissy in a matter of seconds. So proud of you on 2 weeks!!

UP, you're most definitely worth it.

It's been a beautiful day here, shame I've been working indoors for most of it, but did manage to catch a ray or two this evening, so no complaints. I've marked out the shape of the new pond, ready to start digging it out over the next week. Ponds are a bit tricky to get right. I've helped to construct a couple of real disasters in the past! Oops.

Hope you're feeling better Mariah. It's horrible to be ambushed by a dark mood.

Thanks for the wood polish tip, Izzy. I'll add that to my repertoire of cleaning solutions.

Tops, Obo, how's it going?

In for the group hug & yes Up, you are Definately worth it!!! Running on little sleep, woke feeling defeated & stuck but called my sponsor & shed some tears.....having a little lunch & maybe just chill with TV even though I have a lot of things I should be doing. I was feeling pretty low about the lack of cleaning work the last 2 weeks & had a call from a local builder I cleaned a personal home for through PM company a couple of weeks ago...He got my number from them & told me I did a great job on his place & wondered if I would be available to do some work for him!! I so needed that today.

Thanks

It seems like the more things change, the more they stay the same.
I guess the only thing to say is ... Ok life, what else you got. Bring it on.

I'm sorry things are no better UP.

You definitely are worth it - it's too easy to become resigned to things...but don't keep working for yourself or the future you want.
