Disgusted at myself as didn't even manage a single day - car broke down on the way to my first AA meeting and I bought (and drunk) alcohol. Total failure.

Howdy friends? Congrats to Aussie guys on celebrating freedom. Forgot last nite to note 'twas the 45th memory of Bill W! I put a pic of him on IG but not afraid of breaking anonymity coz most people won't recognize him. Will be surprised if anyone double taps & or asks who that is;anyway, I'm very joyful & content today coz of his program

Cooee! For Nic and Kaneda and Tinkerbell is Straylian too. I had a really poignant moment in the supermarket today believe it or not. There was a Muslim family just doing their shopping and they looked a bit shy and uncertain. I made a point of wishing them happy Australia Day and their faces lit up. The little girl smiled right up at me. I know I'm a sop but it was really beautiful.

Check me in for a jobless and schoolless 24 hours. No, I didn't quit or get fired, and no I didn't drop out. But I do have the next two days off from work and a week until my next class starts, so for now I think I'll just enjoy myself.

Morning all I'm in for another 24 and determined to have a good day at work...I'm going in with a smile on my face after reading that post from Kris, think it must have been on previous thread. Sorry I couldn't quote it but thought it was fab!!

My Oz day was very quiet but good on you Steely - to me that really is 'Australian'
Virginia - where all pretty good at digging holes for ourselves but some of us dig deeper than most - I know I did.
It took me a few attempts to really get the right amount of effort going to work my way out of the hole.
You missed this meeting - you can make the next one even if you have to get a lift or something.
You can do this - give it all the effort you have
