As long as you're getting decent blocks that's the main thing.
My mother's first name is Veronica, but she goes by the name of Clare, which is my middle name. What's your Mum's name? Or do you feel uncomfortable about answering that question? No probs if you do.....

My mother's name is Neila. Her parents thought a boy was on the way who they would name Neil. So when a girl popped out they just added an 'a'.
She had a doc appt today which she asked me to cancel. Said she was done with docs and whatever happens happens. I have little choice but to respect her opinion and wishes on that.
Didn't this thread used to be upbeat?

Neila - I like that. It actually sounds kind of old fashioned. I can understand how you might get to that stage...poor sweetheart.
Well, life isn't always upbeat. Anyway, I think it still has many upbeat moments. The balance is pretty good, I reckon :-) Geez, it's a positive riot compared to some threads!

I know what you mean. I gave up reading threads on 'Newcomers to Recovery'. I was there once, but to read how much pain the Newcomers are going through is just . . . distressing. I keep thinking I should read and post there to offer some kind of support (as a Serial Relapser) but I have to take care of myself first, and just can't bear the suffering I read there. I will wish them the best from silent afar.

Whooahhh...okay, that does sound hard to find. I'll give it a crack. He's pretty formidable, Peter O'Toole. Not sure I would want to get on the wrong side of him.
Did you see 'Being There'? Peter Sellers? That was great.

Yes! Sellers did such a great job of being completely blank. Based on a book by Jerzy Kosinski (sp?) who I'd also recommend. He wrote some amazing novels, and had it not been for a scheduling snafu would have been at Sharon Tate's house the night of the Manson murders.
Tell me another joke. Then I will let you (reluctantly) go.

O.m.g.....really??!!! How freaky is that??!!
Okay, here's one Venecia will like - it's a Winston Churchill quote...
Lady Astor to Churchill: If I were married to you, I'd put poison in your coffee.
Churchill: If I were married to you, I'd drink it!
We had a prime minister once who was as witty and clever as Churchill - David Lange (passed on now). He was on the cover of Time Magazine, famous for telling the Americans where they can stick their nuclear ships, i.e. not in our harbours. He was awesome.
So you off to bed now, huh?

Okay, that Kiwi video was Lol! Exactly what would have creeped me out as a child too. Now I think about it I believe the roots of my insomnia started with Johnny Quest cartoons, probably no one here old enough to remember those?
Movies... along the same vein as Being There, how about Zelig??
