Spring and Fall are my favorites. Always preparing to garden and always lots of exciting things happening. It helps to live near a resort town but, also amonst farmlands. Love the beginning of winter...the first snow...the crisp January air...my birthday...Summer is great but it goes way too fast!
I get this terrific magazine called "Our Wisconsin". Google it and check out the pictures! Pretend you are visiting...not you ardy because...

I had never seen proper seasons til I moved up to New England as an adult. I don't think I could live without seasons now. Everything you said, Chloe! Last winter's snow almost drive me to insanity though. A gal can only do so much shovelin'!

A ride to the farm for some cider donuts will be in order this fall!!

Cider donuts, apples galore...pumpkins and crunching leaves when you walk...spooky full moon nights...warm cozy sweaters...football games...yes, a midwestern Fall is very appealing...even the cold November rain!

Turn turn Turn...... golly that was a great time of life....

can we make a stop at the Island of Crete my Daughter is there for a holiday.. she is back in the States Sept 26th.. so looking forward to seeing her.... kids they never tell you this ... but it is hard having the kids helping them grow and having them go away so far.. but that is how life works.. so proud of my 3 and 4 of my neices and nephews.. and their families NC Tennesse Minnesota and Seattle WA.. so far from home.. my Pop never left Menomonie.. always not far from his family.. I loved it.. my sisters hated it.. sometimes I wish I had gotten to marry and stay that close to family too. but then my 3 never would have been and never would have the lives they have now.. the ramblings of an old lady Clown.. love to all Beep Beep ...ardy

Ardy, when everyone takes their boat in after Labor Day...and the lake seems abandoned...we take a slow ride around the lake and view the leaves changing colors...so peaceful and spiritual... Indian Summer some call it...abit melancholy and alot beautiful...beep beep...♡

I'm right on the ocean. In fact, near the first public beach in the US, but I have to say, I love the peacefulness of a lake.

Wolfie, I wish I could bring you some of our snow, since you get so little and we get it in record-breaking amounts!

I'm happy to swing by Crete, ardy. The greek islands are on my bucket list of places to visit.

And finally, a poem by Robert Frost about apple-picking. It's something I do with my daughter at least once during the fall:

After Apple-Picking by Robert Frost : The Poetry Foundation
