Hey everyone. I'm on day 8. I was just discharged from the nut house. ha. I checked myself in last Wednesday and they admitted me for suicidal ideation, depression and alcohol abuse. I had no idea how many risk factors for suicide that I actually had. Anyway.. I spent 5 days in the psych ward and 2 in the rehab section before I was released. I'm home now. Its strange. I'm so happy to be with my little boy again though and I'm feeling a lot better.

Erin!! *hug* its great to see you!

The nut house huh? Lol, good for you for seeking out the help you needed I'm so proud of you. Many people would not have been able to take the same steps. Bravo!

Are you enrolled in any programs to continue your success? Day 8 is so great

I have an appointment set up with a psychiatrist and contact info for a therapist. I'm not doing IOP or anything. I met some really amazing people there. Wouldn't imagine I'd make bonds so quickly but I did.

That's really good to hear Erin have you made the appointment with the therapist yet? They'll probably ask at the psych one.

And I agree with the meeting amazing people sentiment. That was my experience as well.

I am seeing a therapist and just started non intensive out patient groups this week. I like both. Glad you are back Erin. The people you meet in treatment are valuable because they get you. I have a lot of young heroin addicts in my groups( I am neither) but addicts just have such camaraderie.

Hi y'all!

It's so good to see you Erin! I was getting worried about you, girl! ❤️

I would love to be part of the book club but can't focus on anything right now...maybe by the next book I won't be so scattered!

Sorry I haven't been around much but know I'm thinking of y'all and when I read everyone's posts it just makes me so happy that we're doing this together.

I ended up telling my ex about my situation. In a way I'm glad cause some of the burden is off, but it just complicates things in a lot of ways. I'm Counting down the days till next Wednesday so at least I'll know what I'm dealing with.

Love and hugs to everyone!
Y'all are awesome!
xoxo

Thanks y'all!

I'm in full on sleep mode. I'm not sure if it's cause I'm truly exhausted or if I'm just trying to escape! I would really like to think I was past trying to find an escape from life.

Hey erin, good to see you. Is outpatient an option for you? May be worth looking into, extra support certainly can't hurt.
Brynn, glad your secret is out how did it go telling your ex? Hugs and hope you feel ok.

I had a great day 8! Thank goodness

Erin8 so glad to have you back and feeling good. Amazing journey you are on

Thanks for checking in Brynn. Place just ain't the same without you.

Glad everyone is in therapy cause y'all need it. Haha. Cause it works! My last therapist was against me quitting booze. Can you believe? She had that big drunk nose though. She thought it would be good to be able to return to drinking again. And did I

Got our book for the library today. Been doing my speed reading eye warm ups and have started the book

So I'm gonna go eat some dinner and read a bit.

I can't help but giggle a little bit about us all reading a book together. It strikes me as funny. I think because it is such a calm thing to do and that isn't what most of us are used to doing at all. I love it though.

I would never join a book club even when many friends did. Funny. I love reading and/or listening to books.
Yet with the litter I jumped right in. Nice.

Oh right!
I meant to mention earlier! Big shoe, it's interesting that you said you're a binge reader. I suppose I am too when I think about it, a binge person I am. Binge drinking, reading, exercise, food.....
