One-Year-and over club Part 23
Congrats, Gleefan! Welcome to our little club
IP, sounds like you're happy to be back.
Wolfie, get better soon.
Andy, Happy B-day to your dad!
Dee, Venus, Toots, Gilmer and all the rest, good to "see" you as always.
More cold weather for us, but I'm hoping for a warmer March ahead.
Have a great hump-day, all!

Good day for me today - I shared at AA and got through it without bursting into tears, which is actually quite an accomplishment for me lol! It was only the third time I have shared my whole story so I don't think that's too bad going - progress, not perfection, eh?!?
Welcome to the newcomers - it is so much easier to be sober past a year, for me anyway, just have to crack living in all its forms

That's pretty awesome feeling-good. I don't think I have ever shared my story without tears rolling down my face... excellent progress indeed love!!!
Oh ~ I may have forgotten to mention that I am starting my course in Semester 2.
Need a job first, and I need to be there for dad.
Love to all the Overs,
V xx

I know what you mean feeling-good, you're there all the time for the problems as well as all the glories. Whereas before we would've been passed out somewhere. Aah, such is the good life.
Pleased you shared at aa.
Good evening overs.
I've realised we don't appreciate what we've got when we've got it. The aches and pains, what the heck. My mum years ago saying, don't sit on that cold step, don't frown, eat all your vegetables. They all add up to something as we get older. If only we had the wisdom of the older folk when we were younger so it helps when we're the older folk.

Ok got sidetracked,
Hi overs!
Welcome aboard Gleef!
SW,
Ya gotta get some wellness time squeezed into yer busy schedule!
Well we had one of those blue moon days here. Here in NW Louisiana, in the deep South, today we got four inches of snow, after a week's monsoon like rain. It would have stuck better if it wasn't floating on puddles everywhere. Pretty nice and very rare for a full day of heavy fluffy snow down here.
We are closing on the new house this week, but it will be weeks before it's dry enough to move in the heavy equipment and trucks to build the dirt pad and pour the concrete foundations. Getting close to our one month or so offline construction and move in period. Offline because we won't be reconnected or have our cable modems back up until after all the construction and transport and assembly is done. I hate moving. The boxing and unboxing is tedious. But so nice once we get settled again. I get tired just thinking about it.
We are supposed to go from our week of freezing and snow to 70°F warm temps this coming weekend! Then cold again.

I was thinking just that when I read Mags post too!! That and 'old age neve comes alone'!
FG im glad to are getting stronger emotionally, it is a tough time for you with all the family issues you have going, you are stronger than you give yourself credit!
OFC, now I want to be a member! I can practice being grumpy but it sure doesn't come naturally to me!
Itchy, you sound like a perpetual motion machine! Do you ever stop??? And snow in Louisiana! My how often does that happen?
Hugs Overs
Hi Overs!
feeling-good, good for you for speaking at a meeting, I'm sure you helped someone!
Last night I celebrated my year at my home group. I've been a speaker before and even celebrated at my former sponsor's home group earlier in the week but last night was special. Usually I've thought a little about what I'd say and remembered it later, but I hadn't and I don't -- all I know I said is I was surprised and grateful to be allowed to breathe the air sober. To be alive and a member of the human race, and to have other sober alcoholics to lead me. It's beyond my understanding, and I don't need to understand it.
Have a great day/night, everyone!

Nice one, courage.
Evening overs hope all is well with your world.
Absolutely Andy and toots. I agree! Youth is wasted on the young. Haha.
Well it's nearly the weekend, we've got to sort the garden out. I want to get a low maintenance hedge at the front of the garden but my knowledge is slim, well almost non existent.
