Class of October 2014 Part 9
Woke up at 3:45, made fruit salad, did a couple loads of laundry, picked up a bit... I'll be done for the day by 4:00 at this pace. Lol
The cold is coming back our way so I'm going to enjoy this sunny, warmer day by going to the park after work. (If I'm still awake, of course.). There are ducks, geese, and peacocks there that are friendly and used to being around people so I'll grab some crackers and try to catch a couple of pics for y'all. I always love looking at others' corners of the world on here.
Venus, how's work going for you? Is your hand doing ok?

Good grief, that's even too early for me Conquest. The taste of spring is over here too but at least still sunny. I've always wanted a peacock, but they sing about as good as me so I don't think the neighbors would approve. Enjoy your time at the park...hope to see some pics.
Take a pic for us Arbor....
So we are having a little taste of winter in the middle of summer; I love it!
It won't last, so I'm enjoying every cool morning right now. I'm very grateful.
That park sounds so lovely Conquest...I love ducks and geese. and I haven't seen a peacock for a long time. They are just so stunning.
My hand is sore, but it's impossible to do my job without using it.
Sore is OK, I can deal with that. TBH, I'm just so pleased to be working again.
And now the full-time job search begins.
Lots to do. But I'm not nearly as stressed now, so that helps.
I will never get up as early as from (and Conquest as well today), but you guys have definitely inspired me to begin my day earlier. It just makes such a difference. And it makes the 8am sleep-in on a Saturday feel like a major luxury.
My dad is sick; it is a big worry. We have the doctor coming today, and I will be there this afternoon. I hope he can recover once again. It just gets harder and harder on a 93 and a half year old body. I know I complain about him, but I love him a great deal.
It's been a little quiet here lately ~ I hope everyone is doing well. And fighting on.
Glad you are home Dee.

Hi V, checking in with you about your dad. I guess I hadn't realized that he's in his 90's.
I'm glad you're enjoying the cooler weather.
I have a few folks that I keep up with in classes from 2013 and I've seen them make note of how their classes had shrunk a bit and can become more quiet. I guess that's how it goes over time. SR is my only outside support and I plan to be involved here in some form for the long haul. A common comment that I've seen in people returning after a longer stretch of sobriety followed by a slip up is that they became somewhat complacent about ongoing support. I'm really trying to identify the most common pitfalls and avoid them like the plague!

I feel the same way from...I know that I stopped posting when I was getting really down last year, and then I let my lifeline go. And then it was just me and my head, and that was not a healthy place. So I'm sticking close as well!
I spoke to dad. The doctor has been, and confirmed what I already thought: it was a virus, and he is getting better. So that's a relief.
