24-Hour Recovery Connections Part 30
24 more please. 11:30am on Saturday.
Last night I went to a Christmas concert, afterwards we went to the bar next door to the theatre. I had coffee, the people I was with each had one cocktail. The waitress tried to offer Baileys or Kahlua be added. I said no, just plain coffee please. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything, I felt happy. On the way home, there was a sobriety checkpoint that I had to go through. The police officer looked at me and just said "go ahead mam, have a nice evening". I spent the rest of the ride home reflecting on my recovery and feeling very grateful for sobriety.
Have a peaceful, sober weekend friends.
