24 more please. 11:30am on Saturday.

Last night I went to a Christmas concert, afterwards we went to the bar next door to the theatre. I had coffee, the people I was with each had one cocktail. The waitress tried to offer Baileys or Kahlua be added. I said no, just plain coffee please. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything, I felt happy. On the way home, there was a sobriety checkpoint that I had to go through. The police officer looked at me and just said "go ahead mam, have a nice evening". I spent the rest of the ride home reflecting on my recovery and feeling very grateful for sobriety.

Have a peaceful, sober weekend friends.

Tell that AV that it can't win; you are too strong and have too many SR back-up troops.

WOW! That is intense!! So glad you made the decision way before the officer check point... but... wow the situations we put ourselves in when actively drinking. Hugs, and I am so glad you are here. Just think you would be in a jail cell now with a terrible financially strain imposing on Christmas ahead. YAY for sober life!!!
