We do have them but I notice them closer to the beach. Here, we have tons of mosquitoes, ants and roaches. They are the big waterbug type of roaches (notice my technical name). They are so gross. But, I dislike the chemicals the exterminators use so we manage until the cold comes.

Thursday 6.50 am here. I'm going away for work for two nights and taking my husband with me. I have a conference tomorrow but the hotel is on the beach so it will be lovely. Committing to another 24 hours of sobriety.

Checking in early in a very cold Washington State. I'll have another 24 please.

Special thanks to all of you who sent good wishes on my return--I couldn't click thanks for some reason...odd.

Here is an indicator of my challenge. Hubby knows how hard this is for me. And he has to go to a going away party at work this evening. I asked if he could just have a coke. But he says, no, he'll just have one. This upsets me. He always acts like it's my alcoholism that keeps us drinking. But I'm finishing Day Two and he isn't even counting.

So, I know I'm responsible for my own actions no matter what he does...but we really do get into this together. I just can't get out. And I don't want him coming home lit up and wanting to party. So, I need another 24. And it will be a particularly important one.

Hugs to all. Tomorrow I should feel even better.
