Midnite up in MD; what a very special day it was! First, I was able to run on the treadmill @ pt;a 1st in five yrs!! Now to be fair, it's on whats called an anti gravity treadmill where I put on a ridiculous looking tutu dress then air gets blown up into it. Anyway, ran hands free & was sooo excited, could have cried. Even took couple of pics with therapist & some of me in back alley earlier. Secondly, get home & when checked my email my dad had replied to me after thanking him for the birthday wishes last wk. He simply asked if address was still the same so he can send me "few dollars". Was so happy to have read that coz haven't paid rent in two mths so sponsor for past few days has been urging me to ask him for help. SR, my old man as some may know is a hard a**(lack of better word)-he makes even tho retired, $10k/mth alone from an apt complex he built from the ground;has other property & investments but trying to ask him as his oldest son for $100 is a nightmare! But this is definitely God @ work coz there's no other explanation. Thirdly,after mens's mtg tonite, was granted scholarship to go out of town this wknd for men's retreat & don't have to pay a dime!! This is my first aa outing.Wow. This is a complete turnaround from last week's bad happenings. Offered to chair mtgs starting next Thur @ urge of sponsor & its an opportunity to do some service work here. Signing up for more peace & serenity;thx

FMFT what an inspirational post! I found this site originally as I was very alone and desperate for help when my AH left me and my 2 children and I joined the F&F side.
I sought solace in wine though and as that gradually crept up I find myself here trying to maintain sobriety. I also am very private about this and hoping that I can find my way here.

Goat, you look disturbingly cute in that outfit love!
I missed a day yesterday, la few little stresses here, but plenty to be thankful for when I take the time to look, being able to maintain my sobriety through the stresses is a big one!
Congratulations to everyone celebrating for whatever reasons today.
I saw this and it reminded me of me in my bad old days, I expect it to resonate with a few of you too
