Do you have a recovery animal or familiar spirit? afloatsober recently was graced with a parrot. Parrots are birds of the Psittaciformes order which includes true parrots (parrots, lorikeets, parakeets, macaws, conures), cockatoos, and New Zealand parrots. Many parrot species are spectacular to look at and their intelligence makes them a wonder to scientific study. Though their brains are structured quite differently from humans’, like us they engage in social learning and problem-solving and play, and develop troublesome behaviors if they aren’t given the right care and stimulation.
What does it mean if a parrot comes into your life? Here’s what one website has to say: “He is asking you to stay alert. New ideas which can bring about new growth or a new direction is imminent for you. Pay attention to the signs and omens around you. Perhaps it’s the perfect time to go after the dreams you once thought were out of reach. Alternatively Parrot may be asking you to learn new language skills. Perhaps your self talk has been more negative than positive of late. Take the time to become aware of what you are saying to yourself. (Parrot - Spirit Animal Totems)

. Awww....getting my heat frustration out as I check in for my next 24 hours of recovery. I'm a wimpy noodle, hats off to my friends here on SR who live in hot climates. Morning meeting today, our son went with me, my hubby had a 6:00am tee time. I hope everyone had a pleasant weekend.

Another busy day at work at the hotel, and we'll stay busy as long as the weather stays fantastic!

Chicago Burbs. 1:30 am What a challenging day, a lot of positives, at least as many negatives. I'm thankful I started my day with am breakfast AA meeting. Its day 11 dry, 9 meetings. I have no doubt, between that & SR, I took every negative & made a positive out it. If only just making plan to remedy.
I need another 24 & I feel like I could do it standing on my head!
