Toots in for 24 more on a lovely sunny Boston day in awe of how far my sobriety is taking me, this is a much wilder ride that drunk was, and I get to remember it!!

Salted caramel peanuts sound fantastic! I'll have to look for those... Today is Cream-Filled Doughnut Day. Enjoy! I am off for a walk on the beach here in NEw England, 8:19 AM. Then maybe a doughnut.....

It's been a while since I checked in here. I'm still sober and seldom think about drinking any more. It is 5:20 am MST in SE Arizona and I'm ready for another day of sobriety.

Thanks CR, Da Bears, need all the help they can get today against the 49ers! No need to feel bad with your alliances. I'm a closet GB fan, just don't tell my brother, he'd put a whopping on me!

Good morning all,

Here for another 24. Toots - I like the way you look at things!

Goat, sounds like a great time in the recording studio.

Snowdawg – I hope you feel better. Have you seen snow on your travels yet? I see there’s been a lot of early snow this year.

Afloat– hope things get better soon.

Sickofthiscrap – good job on getting through the first weekend!

My thoughts are with everyone here.

Good morning from Chi-Town Burbs. Sun is shinning, air is crisp & clean, beautiful football weather! I'm going to bundle up, take a ride on my scoot, & attend an open breakfast meeting. Even if the Bears lose to day, I'm going to be a winner. I'm going to tuck another 24 up under my arm & hold on for dear life. Nobody is going to strip it from me.
I've been down so god damn long, everything looks like up to me!

24 hours. My body deserves it, even if my soul doesn't.

Fellow Chicagoan, it is more than likely the Bears will lose tonight.

24 more hours of peace and sobriety please. I was thinking yesterday about the days of hiding wine around my house, hiding when and how much I had been drinking and not remembering how the day ended many times, then waking up with such shame, guilt and anxiety and having to hide those feelings as well. That was no way to exist - not for me or for my kids. In recovery, life is not always easy and I struggle with its ups and downs, but I can live with myself and my choices now and that feeling brings an inner peace that I cherish and will never give up again.

Enjoy your sober day today - you all deserve it!

ForMe I can always relate to what you say about being a mother. I can especially relate to hiding the wine. I thought yesterday, how in the world did I ever parent while drunk. The sad answer is that I didn't. Aren't second (and third & fourth & so on) fantastic?!

Viking, the peanuts are especially good on the sea salt carmel gelato mentioned on the last 24 hr thread. Oh. My. Salty-carmel goodness overload. Enjoy your donut!

Day 31 here & it feels even better than 30 did yesterday!! Going for 60 but I need 24 first.

9:24 a.m. in Dallas.
