Mojave time, 1:30pm, Sunday. The desert now begins it's cooling trend, with the start of September upon us. Wheww! Bring it on, please?
Thank goodness for small miracles. I've had enough of the triple digit weather, already.
Safe Labor Day, everyone. Time to break out the bbq. I have to say, "Throw another something on the 'barby'", for all the aussies here. I hope I got that right. What do I know? Help me out, Dee? I'm just a "bloody" Yankee. lol.
I'm in for another 24, please?

Some people have totemic animals or familiar spirits. We all know the goat in our group
I feel a sympathy with the goat because my astrological sign is Capricorn, half-goat, half-serpent -- and you already know how I feel about snakes. This is Goat’s familiar, not mine, but I have one memorable goat experience: I once had my pocket picked by a goat at a petting zoo!
Goats are funny, ornery, agile, smart, curious, creative problem-solvers. Billy goats are loners within herds, except when butting heads with other billy goats, usually over territory or a nanny goat, but sometimes just out of high spirits. Their domestication goes way back in time, but is more an agreement of mutual benefit than servitude of animal to man – the goat could, would and will escape any restraint and revert to wild if its goatish needs aren’t met. Although domestic goats are mostly bred to be a manageable size, the wild mountain goat has great majesty.

Just about 8:00 p.m. in the Pacific Northwest. I would love to be signed in for another 24 hours--and I hope you will all send good thoughts because I am hosting a barbecue. It's hard not to drink at these things.

12amET...in MD; lunch with folks from home group & other groups @ buddy's hse was superb! Ribs & dessert was more than enough for me. Took home two plate fulls! Pwahaha. It's not greed coz he said can carry as much plus rarely eat good home cooked meals these days
