One Year and Over Club Part 17
Yay Lyddie!! Four years is fantastic!
Oh this first week has been rather trying. We had to stay in the hospital extra days because Brysen was jaundiced - severely.
Now we are dealing with tongue ties with him which is leading to major breast feeding issues and weight loss for him. Had some moments where I allowed myself to feel the guilt, shame, fear and sadness and just sobbed crying.
Meeting with a lactation consultant in an hour and I'm looking forward to professional guidance.
Grabbing naps when I can - which isn't often. Derek has been burning at both ends as well. He's so hands on and even helps me with feeding times by helping me hold Brysen in place or using the syringe to supplemental feed him what I pump. I'm so very lucky.
Have a good one overs.
PS- this pic is brysens first smile - at four days old. And it wasn't a gas smile

Dee,
Glad it wasn't sickness. I miss what's said on other threads as I just check in on Overs and HATZ. (gawd, what an acronym that) So unless it is mentioned here and there, and everywhere, I remain unaware.
RZ,
I'm already retired, so I have the "r" in lifer covered!
Hey FBL, I sure did. Gotta rack now. 3AM. Great avatar but I know the face and can't place it.
I get a different song stuck in my head whenever I'm riding the mowers on grass cutting day. Yesterday it was "A Poem On The Underground Wall" by Simon and Garfunkel. That last line always was one of great power in poetry for me.
"To seek the breast of darkness and be suckled by the night."
I know that breast is around here somewhere, just gotta seek it. Nite all.
